It was a true honor to host His Excellency Kanthati Suphamongkhon, former Thai Foreign Minister and AU alumnus, for an open discussion with the AIPSI community. He shared insights into his diplomatic career and experiences on and off campus that shaped his journey.
The stories former FM Suphamongkhon shared about his journey—including his time in the SIS community—resonated with questions that current graduate students face today: which classes to pursue, how to leverage our studies into the professional world, and how to navigate foreign policy spaces as young professionals.
What we were left with was an inspiring look into the fluidity of achieving success in professional development within international relations, and how SIS can serve as a launching point for careers that could range from the private sector and foreign service to the highest forums of geopolitical engagement in Asia.
