Ethics plays an important role throughout addiction in society, because it determines the legality, safety, and usage of drugs. Moral principles govern how a person acts, and are the reasons behind why a person makes a certain decision. Moral Principles are different than laws, however some laws are made or changed based off of ethics. There are many different moral beliefs in society, but there are only few that are applicable to drug use.
