CTRL’s instructional designers can discuss all your teaching-related needs. We can help you develop learning experiences, discuss evidence-based pedagogical practices, or brainstorm strategies to enhance your teaching.

Research Support

CTRL provides support for research being conducted across the university. Our team specializes in a variety of quantitative, qualitative, mixed, and survey research methodologies and software.​

Online Learning

The Teaching Support team in CTRL and the Library E-Learning Support work towards equipping you with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to teach online.

Inclusive Pedagogy

CTRL is continuously working on helping faculty develop skills that serve the goals outlined in AU’s Plan for Inclusive Excellence.

The Greenberg Awards

The Greenberg Seminars welcome AU PhD and MFA students to a two-year series of specialized workshops to develop professional skills for future faculty and alt-act careers.

The goal of the Faculty Fellows Program is to advance CTRL’s mission of promoting and supporting excellence in teaching and research.

Faculty Learning Communities

Faculty Learning Communities (FLCs) are cross-disciplinary cohorts of faculty who come together for exploration of a central topic related to teaching and/or scholarship.

New Faculty Orientations

Full-Time Faculty Orientation, held during the week before classes begin, serves as an introduction to the university for new faculty.
