The Youth Advisory Board (YAB) was started in 2024 to provide an enriching experience for promising young researchers, offering hands-on opportunities to develop skills, gain practical knowledge, and contribute to real-world psychology research! We believe that the participation of our members will not only benefit them personally but will also bring fresh perspectives to our research.
Though launched recently, the YAB is part of a growing movement in research to incorporate the perspectives of target research populations in the design, implementation, and analysis stages of research. By doing so, we not only provide more opportunities for community engagement in science research but produce research that is more informed, inclusive, and ecologically valid.
We are no longer accepting applications for our 2024-25 cohort but will reopen applications for the 2025-26 cohort in the fall.
