My name is Erin Hampson, and I am recent graduate from American University in Washington, D.C. In May 2019, I finished with an interdisciplinary degree in CLEG, a minor in psychology, and a certificate in Leadership Studies.
CLEG is an interdisciplinary major encompassing Communications, Law, Economics, and Government. I am focusing on psychology in particular, because I am fascinated with why people do the things they do and the underlying decisions that proceed their actions. I have been interested in leadership studies since I was 13 years old and I am thrilled to continue learning theory and application skills.
From my areas of studies and my own life experiences, I have acquired a skill set that I am proud of. I am extremely organized, well spoken, thoughtful, community oriented, and dependable. I hope to further grow and develop these skills by working on a team of passionate people with a shared interest and excitement about our work. I eventually hope to apply my skills in the world by one day teaching and working with nonprofits about leadership development.
