The images below shows the neighborhood surrounding the theatre. The area itself is quite diverse, hosting a mix of rural and urban elements. While there are both small and big businesses around the theatre, there are also all these very uniform row homes on 13th St NW. The famous Ben’s Chili Bowl is located right next to it, and the U St. Metro stop is right across the street. Overall, the area seems to lack evidence of its history, except for the theater and chili restaurant, especially with all the upgrades and construction going on.
