Richard T. Fields, MFA ’15
Richard T. Fields is a Washington D.C. based Filmmaker and Photographer. Influenced by his mix of military and Caribbean American upbringing along with his love of travel, he uses his talents in visual storytelling to share his work across a global platform. He has worked on film and photography projects both domestically and internationally, including his most recent works in the Czech Republic, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic.
Before earning his MFA in Film & Electronic Media from American University, Richard spent time working with District 7 Media creating beautiful motion-timelapses and with USA Today’s video team producing and hosting his own weekly web series. His films have seen success at numerous festivals, including his win for Best Documentary at The Washington Film Festival for his film “Revealing LeMoyne”, as well as his winning of the McDonald’s Lovin’ Video Competition at the American Black Film Festival for his film “Puppy Love”.
