Experience

Garrett’s time working over a two year period at Insomniac Design, a D.C. based digital agency, was his first introduction to the variety of creative fields that large NGO’s and multinationals turn to as solutions for the challenges they face in an increasingly digital world. He gained crucial experience by working directly with high profile clients including The World Bank, Google, GlaxoSmithKline and more on a variety of projects. Primarily his work focused on branding and developing the messaging for the projects campaigns. He also aided in the video editing process for several clients documentary films.

At GoodFight Media, a D.C. based film production company, Garrett assisted the team in the office and out on shoots as both an intern and as a production assistant. Working both on documentary style-films and branded content, he found the blend of visual storytelling on real-world issues for clients working in international development a fulfilling experience.

 In his current position as the Communications Intern for the Nothing But Nets campaign at the United Nations Foundation, Garrett has gained first-hand experience working on one of UNF’s flagship campaigns in supporting their communications efforts to meet advocacy, grassroots and fundraising strategies.
