Located on American University, the counseling center offers free and confidential mental health services for all members of the community.

Student Health Center

All enrolled students at American University can go to the Student Health Center, regardless of their insurance type.

    1. The primary psychiatric service offered at the Student Health Center is for the management of medication.

5 Ways To De-Stress At American University

1. Exercise: Attend a group exercise class at Jacob’s or Cassell Fitness. Center.

2. Meditation: Go to the University Labyrinth designed for reflection and meditation.

3. Friends: Go hang out with a few of your friends or get lunch/dinner with them.

4. Dogs on the Quad: Take as study break and visit some furry friends on the Quad.

5. Yoga: Go to Jacob’s or Cassell Fitness Center to enjoy a relaxing session of yoga. Go by yourself or take a few friends.
