Combining sleep, diet and exercise: Maximize your health

Have you been working hard in the gym only to see little to no progress? Before giving up, ask yourself: “Am I eating correctly?” and “Am I getting enough sleep at night?”

The truth is, no matter how often or how hard you exercise, you can never outwork a bad diet and sleep schedule.

In order to burn fat and lose weight, you must be at a caloric deficit.

In order to gain muscle, a caloric surplus is needed. In gaining muscle, sleep is equally as important as a proper diet and workout. At least 8 hours of sleep per night is recommended, in order to give muscles time to rest and repair.

Just the same as burning fat, aim to eat more “clean” calories by way of fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as lean proteins such as chicken breast.
