About Me

 

Isaiah A. Beaton is currently a Legal Assistant at Sullivan and Cromwell. He is based in Washington D.C. and is an Alumni of American University. Before starting at Sullivan and Cromwell, Isaiah studied International Studies with a focus on Latin America, Foreign Policy and International Development. He is both a Boren Scholar to Brazil (2017) and a Fulbright Scotland Summer Institute Scholar (2016).

Through his professional and academic experiences, he has explore the public and private sectors. He hopes to further cultivate his legal expertise and use his passion and drive to support his future career.  Isaiah enjoys biking around the District, reading historical non fiction and learning new skills (the most recent is how to code in swift).

In the near future, he plans to pursue a law degree that allows him to explore his passion in constitutional law and access to civil legal counsel. He hopes to pursue a legal career in either the public or nonprofit sector.

He is a graduate of American University’s School of International Service and holds a BA in International Studies and a Certificate in Advanced Leadership Studies from the American University School of Public Affairs. He has also studied at Pontificado Universidade de Sao Paulo and The University of Dundee.
