About Me

Throughout my collegiate and professional career I have been engaged in a variety of internships and extracurriculars that have I have become extremely passionate about including:

  • Humanitarian Aid Trip to Costa Rica – I went to Costa Rica the summer prior to entering college, this trip sparked my interest in Latin America as well as my interest in the culture there as well.
  • Internship at the McCain Institute – I interned at the McCain Institute for my entire senior year of college. My experiences at this do-tank have been incredibly rewarding. (More info on this in my resume)
  • Internship at a private communications firm – In high school, I participated in a week long internship program with a private communications firm which really sparked my passion for event planning.
  • Serving as the VP of Membership in Sigma Kappa for two years in a row – this position required immense planning for various recruitment events as well as the refinement of my organization skills.
  • Tutoring – I have been so rewarded in being able to sit down and tutor high school aged kids in subjects such as Spanish, Civics, and Psychology.
  • Relay for Life – Cancer research is something I have been extremely passionate about since my grandmother’s passing in high school. While at AU, I joined the executive council for Relay for Life. RFL, help funds groundbreaking research in hopes to one day eradicate the disease as a whole. Click here to read more about RFL.
  • Alzheimer’s Association – Through Sigma Kappa, I have been able to fundraise extensively for another passion of mine, alzheimer’s research. This disease has been the 6th leading cause of death in the U.S. Click here to learn more about the Alzheimer’s Association.
  • Student Volunteer at The Sedona Forum – Through my time at the McCain Institute, I was chosen by my supervisors to serve as a student volunteer and representative of the McCain Institute at The Sedona Forum in Sedona, Arizona. This conference brings about through provoking non partisan panels focusing on key issues in our world today, led by leaders in different fields. Click here to learn more about The Sedona Forum.
  • Cheerleading Coach – I have served as a part time coach for my high school alma mater for the past four years. I have enjoyed helping coach and watch the girls grow as athletes and individuals. I plan on coaching part time this summer as well.
  • Work – Since having to put myself through college finances, I have taken on two part time jobs including my retail part time with Kendra Scott as well as another part time nannying position. I work both of these jobs during school as well as over the summer. It’s because of being able to work these two jobs that I will be graduating debt free.
