About Me

My name is Juliana Delgado and I amĀ  a senior biology major and environmental science minor at American University graduating a semester early in December 2018. For the past year and a half I’ve been studying the Notch Signaling Pathway and its relationship to Alzheimer’s Disease and Type II Diabetes. I’ve also been immersed in field research studying the migratory patterns of sharks in the Atlantic Ocean as well as animal care working in an Aquarium. Through these experiences my passion for science and solving the unknown has only grown. I look forward to further research and opportunities that allow me to work with animals and solve complicated scientific questions, merging my major and minor disciplines. I hope to obtain a PhD in the near future.
