Hi there! My name is Jingyi Ding, and I am currently a 4th Year student studying Biology at American University in Washington, DC. During my time at American, I have had the opportunity to explore numerous interests, academically and in extracurricular activities, and also with working in a very people-oriented environment.
I am passionate about life science and have a particular interest in developmental biology and molecular biology. Besides, I really enjoy spending time in the lab. On campus, I got an opportunity to work in Dr. Krogan’s lab as a research assistant, where I can conduct different laboratory procedures to discover protein-protein interactions and protein-DNA interactions involved in plant developmental biology. Back home in China, I interned in a biotechnology company where I performed lab analyses to investigate the accuracy of the products.
