Hello, my name is Lina Abisoghomyan I am a current Sophomore at American University, earning a degree in International Studies from the School of International Service. I have been exploring my interest in diplomacy through various internships here in DC, including at a USAID private contracting firm, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and at the International Trade Commission.

In my research, I hope to focus on the divergence in the governance and security of post-Soviet states, particularly at just how differently the Western-influenced states such as those in the Eurasian Union evolved as sovereign countries versus the more Russia-influenced states such as Armenia, Georgia, and Kyrgyzstan.
