I designed and taught an introductory arts class focused on how and why contemporary artists are creating efficient solutions for life’s necessities.
This mini-lesson asks students to design a garment that can be worn every day for six months. Skills and competencies, materials needed, references, lesson procedure, and assessment rubrics are included.
How I solved it
The lesson plan was created around Authentic Learning principles and answers essential questions through guided inquiry. It’s the third unit of a larger class on Minimalism and Economy in Creation.
