I treasure the people I’ve met and the places I’ve been. It is a comfort knowing that as things change and people grow that I am able to save a memory. I can always remember a day, a place, or a face.
Ever since I was little I have loved taking pictures. My very first camera had far more pictures of the floor and people who were tragically cut in half. My parents on more than one occasion were showcased from knee to chest or from floor to nose.
As a freshman in college, I use photos to capture my experiences. I am a staff photographer in the AU Photo Collective and have been published in the Washington Post and Cosmopolitan’s online magazine.
One quote that I love reads, “So I would take a photo, to stop the world, so that I could keep moving.”
