Digital Archives: Cultural- Music at the Metro
The last time I went to Dupont Circle there was a man outside the Metro station playing an instrument. I took a video because I thought the musician was an interesting part of Dupont. Initially, I was surprised because I was not expecting it. The music sounded sad, but it was still nice to hear music while I walked around on such a sunny day. I think the fact that he was there playing music really demonstrates the culture of the neighborhood. Some people ignored the man while others stopped to listen. Playing music on a nice day improved the atmosphere of the park and influenced the people who heard it. It really shows the community-centric attitude of Dupont Circle.
