This was the first thing I really took notice to when I first walked onto the Edgewood Terrace Property. I sat down on this bench to take written notes as to what I saw and everything, and wrote about the bench. Typically, benches that have these bars on them are done in an effort to keep homeless people from sleeping on them. It made me wonder if homeless people have ever tried to do that in such a neighborhood. Most of the time, I would think that they would do it in a public park or something of that sort, and not on “private property.” The bench did not seem to bother anyone when I visited. Everyone was up on their feet and nobody was using a bench with the exception of me. Therefore, I suppose while the bench is supposed to have an effect, maybe it does not if nobody pays attention to it.
