Michael Quiroz was born in San Antonio and moved to Chicago in 2007 to attend the University of Chicago. After graduating in 2011 with a BA in anthropology, he joined the Peace Corps and served as an English teacher trainer in Tigray, Ethiopia. Michael is now pursuing a MA in Public Anthropology at American University. His research interests include the anthropology of development.
