About Me

Novilia Sutijono

A cool, dedicated, and enthusiastically people oriented student with an ever ready open mind to embrace new frontier knowledge for self-enrichment where I can put forth my skill sets to good use in an organization where quality internship programs are developed for the needs of today and the workforce of the future.

To briefly introduce myself, I previously worked as an Office Assistant in the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion; the office is passionate about work towards assisting first-generation and minority students have a smooth transition in college. As an Office Assistant I was assigned to administrative work and filing in the book loaning services. I was also tasked with customer service along with my college. The customer service was also a way to provide links to resources in order for students and first generation or minority students to quickly get the help they need. On the Summer of 2017, I had an opportunity to volunteer as a Preschool Teacher at a community-based refugee-learning center called “Roshan Learning Center” in Jakarta, Indonesia. One of the responsibilities in the learning center was to perform administrative duties, such as filing and the creation and production of student identification cards. I enjoyed collaborating with the staff on what designs and representation the card would mean to the students and to the center. It was a rewarding experience as well as one of the most prevalent aspects in my life helping refugees and the staff that supported their education. From this experience, I was propelled to assist alongside international, national and grassroots organizations to manage solutions towards refugee service.
