Refugee Service

On the Summer of 2017, I had an opportunity to volunteer as a Preschool Teacher at a commuity-based refugee-learning center called “Roshan Learning Center” in Jakarta, Indonesia. One of the responsibilities in the learning center was to perform administrative duties, such as filing and the creation and production of student identification cards. I enjoyed collaborating with the staff on what designs and representations the card would mean to the students and to the center. It was a rewarding experience as well as one of the most prevalent aspects in my life helping refugees and the staff that supported their education. From this experience, I was propelled to assist alongside international, national and grassroots organizations to manage solutions towards refugee service
