The class will attend a Millennium Stage event at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. In addition to attending the event, each student will take notes about their full experience using the prompt questions attached, and prepare a written report on that experience. Reports should be structured in the same sequence as the prompt questions, with the questions as subheads separating each response. Please upload in Adobe Acrobat or Microsoft Word format.
The goal of this assignment is for students to observe and reflect upon their entire experience of the event, from the first review of online information to travel to approaching and entering the venue to finding and experiencing the performance and finally to their departure. We will approach this entire sequence as part of the aesthetic experience, using the tools and tactics we’ve discussed in class.
The best strategy would be to print out the attached document, and take notes on it from the very beginning of the process all the way through. These notes will inform your final report.
