Drafted memos regarding congressional oversight and executive regulatory actions that affect clients. Conducted research into federal/state activities using Bloomberg Government, Politico Pro, CQ Analysis. Provided logistical, organizational, and research support to high level partners and executive clients. Contributed to federal and state lobbying strategies on a range of policy and government issues.

Educational Technology Policy Intern

U.S. Department of Education

Researched policy and products related to the strategic mission of the Office of Educational Technology. Created and edited research of statements, opinions, policy ideas on several pieces of key legislation. Contributed to the information gathering, updating, editing, and review process of two agency publications. Participated in brainstorming and implementing educational technology initiatives that foster learning. Collaborated with a diverse team of teachers and policy advisors on information sharing and outreach.

Congressional & Government Affairs Intern

Association of Public and Land-grant Universities

Contributed to the government affairs strategy of the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities. Participated in Congressional and Government Affairs advocacy on behalf of member institutions. Attended relative meetings and developed detailed summaries to be sent organization-wide. Wrote and edited initial drafts of policy position letters for Vice President to send to government leaders.
