Hi I’m Quinn Manson Buchwald! I’m from Seattle, WA and now I am attending American University in DC as a freshman. I’m in AU’s Honors program and also the School of International Service (SIS). I hope to graduate with a major in International Service, and a minor in American Indian Studies. I come from a very diverse background. My mother is German and my father is American Indian (Ojibwe/Chippewa). I like to say that I’m a “tri-citizen”, being a citizen of the USA and Germany, and a member of the Mackinac Bands of Chippewa and Ottawa Indians. I am almost trilingual, speak both English and German, and currently working on improving my Spanish. I am very proud of all of my cultures and I try my best to be as active and involved as possible. After college I hope to either attend graduate school or to go abroad and work with indigenous populations in either North, Central, and South America or Oceania. I hope to also have the opportunity to study abroad in one of these regions during my experience here at American University. Thanks for reading and Miigwetch!!!
