Standing on K Street outside the Washington Post’s headquarters, you can hear the city moving around you. In the short recording I captured, you can hear the conversations between the people lining the sidewalk and in the park across the street, supplemented by a performer doing his own rendition of the Indiana Jones’ theme song on a saxophone.
This is the view of the towering Washington Post building you’ll see from across K Street. The sign that hangs over grand doorway is obscured by the trees. Most of the building provides office space for other businesses, as the Washington Post only occupies three floors.
