Fellows are selected based on their outstanding scholarly achievements, commitment to the study of international affairs, extracurricular experience and demonstrated interest in public service. Fellows may receive a summer stipend, an internship opportunity with a congressional or executive branch office, and\/ or invitations to participate in summer roundtables and events. Applicants must be seeking to start a two-year graduate program in the <strong>upcoming<\/strong> fall semester. Candidates can be <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>graduating seniors or college graduates<\/strong><\/span>. The Payne Fellowship, which provides up to $104,000 in benefits over two years for graduate school, internships, and professional development activities, is a unique pathway to the USAID Foreign Service. Payne<\/p>\n<h1>Post-Graduate Fellowships<\/h1>\n<h2>Defense &amp; Security<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.whs.mil\/McCain-Fellows-Program\/\">John S. Outstanding individuals will be selected to work with nonprofit, public-interest organizations addressing peace and security issues.<\/p>\n<h2>REGIONAL FOCUS<\/h2>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/culturalvistas.org\/programs\/abroad\/alfa-fellowship-program\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alfa Fellowship Program<\/a> is a distinguished international initiative that each year offers the opportunity to complete a high-level professional development program in Russia. Over the course of the program, fellows complete work placements at leading institutions, attend professional seminars, and receive intensive language training.
