I grew up in western Pennsylvania, and moved to D.C. to attend AU in 2007 as an undergraduate in SIS.  I studied abroad in Japan and graduated with a BA in International Studies, a minor in Japanese, and a certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL).  I also completed an internship in my senior year, which lead to a job opportunity.  After graduating, I returned to Japan for another three years to teach English in Fukushima prefecture.  I moved back to D.C. in 2010 and worked with a few Japan-related non-profits as well as the Embassy of Japan.  I started a graduate program in 2015, and then came to SIS as International Program Coordinator in fall 2016. In my current role, I work with exchange programs in Japan, China, and South Korea, the Graduate Global Program, and the SIS Travel Support. I also just completed my Masters in International Training and Education in spring 2018, and I look forward to being more involved with the community at AU!
