Living overseas in both Malaysia and Kenya, I have developed a large interest in new cultures, beliefs, groups of people, and travel. I wanted to cultivate these passions, hence my major in international studies. Studying in DC, surrounded by such driven students, I feel inspired to work hard on my way to becoming an Ambassador in the hopes that one day I can vouch for America within another country and work to help people.

Someone I feel inspired by is pictured in the image above and is nonetheless than theĀ 14th, present day Dalai Lama. I had the privilege to meet his holiness in Dharmashala, India in October of 2017. He spoke about peace and the need for practicing it in simple ways on a daily basis in order to truly create a peaceful change in this world. Such a person who has dedicated their life to promoting peace and being a role model for so many, inspired me to promote peace in my everyday life and do my best to bring joy to others when I can. As an ambassador, I would be the voice of a country and have the opportunity to help people on an everyday basis, which is exactly what I hope to do one day.
