Cauliflower Crust Pizza

Craving comfort food without wanting to eat actual comfort food? You know pizza, cheeseburgers, french fries- that kind of comfort food.

Well, I have a solution that will satisfy all of your cravings…

 Introducing your new best friend: Cauliflower Crust Pizza.

 This simple recipe is everything that you’ve ever dreamed of; grain free pizza or more like guilt free pizza.

 Stop wasting time and get to cooking this god-like cheesy goodness.

Recipe: makes one large pizza 


  • 3/4 head cauliflower, stalk removed

  • 1/2 cup shredded almond “mozzarella”

  • 1/2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 egg, lightly beaten

  • 4 fresh basil leaves, chopped


  • 1/2 cup basil marinara sauce (I used an organic sauce from whole foods)

  • handful basil leaves

  • 5 mushrooms

  • handful colorful mini heirloom tomatoes

  • 1/4 white onion

  • 1/4 yellow pepper

  • 1/2 cup shredded almond “mozzarella cheese” or any mozzarella cheese of your preference


  1. Preheat oven to 370 degrees.

  2. Cut 3/4 cauliflower head into pieces and blend on high in the food processor until rice-like.

  3.  Add in 1 egg, olive oil, garlic, and basil leaves and blend on high until ingredients become fully incorported and mixture become doughey.

  4.  Line a large cookie sheet tray with parchment paper and form cauliflower dough into a circle-like thin crust.

  5. Bake on 375 for 30 minutes.

  6. While pizza crust is baking, chop mushrooms, onions, and peppers.

  7. Once pizza crust is done cooking, spread 1/2 cup marinara sauce on crust and layer chopped vegetables and cheese.

  8. Bake for 20 minutes.

  9. Sprinkle basil leaves, cut, and enjoy!
