Supplements and Nutrition

This article talks about how people who take dietary supplements to get the nutrients and vitamins that our body needs and how they may not be as bad as the media makes them out to be. A study produced by the Council of Responsible Nutrition showed that those who take supplements may in fact be getting the nutrients that these supplements provide. The reason is that people who take supplements are more health conscious and aware of what decisions they make based on nutrition.

  1. I found this interesting because I know of many people who take this dietary supplements. They are not better for you and people should try to lose weight through exercise and healthy eating.

  2. What do you think about supplements that have an extreme excess amount of nutrients, to a detrimental level? Like supplements that have 3000% of a nutrient, do you think they can be unhealthy sometimes?
