Our Mission

To reduce the risk for disease associated with overweight and obesity in members of Quest Fitness through nutrition education.

Our Goals

  • Improve quality of life for participants.
  • Promote positive relationship with food for participants.
  • Increase food and nutrition knowledge in participants.
  • Increase interest in nutrition education lessons at Quest Fitness.

Our Objectives

  1. At the end of the three-month commitment, participants will fill out a survey that will show at least 80% participant satisfaction.
  2. After the one-on-one program sessions, 80% of participants will be able to explain recommendations for daily fruit and vegetable consumption.
  3. After one-on-one sessions, 80% of program participants will improve their relationship with food by committing to not labeling food as “good” or “bad.”
  4. After the program’s hands-on sessions, 80% of program participants will be able to prepare and consume healthy meals.
  5. Upon a two-year follow-up, at least half of community program participants will have maintained a healthier BMI and reduced their disease risk by 25%.
