“There are two ways of seeing–with the body and soul. The body’s sight can sometimes forget, but the soul remembers forever.”
-Alexandre Dumas, The Count of Monte Cristo
My name is Vaishnavi Muruganandam and I am currently studying in the School of Public Affairs at American University in Washington DC. I grew up in Raleigh and Cary, North Carolina, and my heritage is South Indian. Here you will find my professional and academic work, but I also love my personal hobbies of reading, drawing, traveling, and rugby.
As a part of the School of Public Affairs Leadership Program, I have also included my leadership themes as determined by Gallup in their book and online test, Strengths Based Leadership. I feel as though it accurately summarizes my personality and how I function in all spaces, whether it be academic, professional, athletic, or creative. You will also find my past academic papers (updated constantly) and links related to my hobbies, such as what I am currently reading, my latest artwork, and cultural and community events that I am involved in.
