Within the past year or so, I have discovered the idea of glitch art, which involves the process of taking an image, and through data-bending, sonification, data-moshing, pixel sorting, or some other form of image destruction, creating an entirely new image out of it.

Throughout my work in my writing class this year, Adams Morgan has been a constant, as it contained both my built environment, my CLS, and my final multi-modal project. Redevelopment within Adams Morgan is a highly polar subject, with many people opposing change, and others feeling that change is necessary and must be brought about in order to better the community. Along with these ideas, I have taken images of Adams Morgan, either taken by me or found on the internet with a creative commons license, and altered them in order to bring out the idea of a redevelopment of Adams Morgan, changing the old into something new. Hopefully this doesn’t just seem like some long rant that doesn’t make sense or have any significance, even though it very well may be that. These are some of the images I have created.
