This is the first location I visited today. This is albeit an equal representation of the trendy sleek modern, and pseudo-vintage style of any DC cafe. There are the ‘hipster’ chalkboard style and a warm presentation. From what I understand Dolcezza is a very popular coffee shop, up there with the with the Black Cat. I would say that based on the need to attract a young audience; the warm aesthetics are likely a common theme. What is interesting is that the exteriors of these popular locations, along 14th, are definitely not as interesting as the alluring interior aesthetics. In addition, this menu certainly speaks to this ‘hipster culture’.
