Digital Archives: Women’s March at Judiciary Square

Judiciary Square has always been an essential hub of D.C.’s history, and it was a central location of women’s history this past January, when the Women’s March ascended upon Washington. As you can tell by the video, many women brought their passions to Judiciary Square, hoping to spread their cause to the courts of D.C. Important causes are brought to this site everyday, and the Women’s March was no different. The key importance of this moment in history is that it brings the area to the forefront of cultural relevance, and was no longer just a background environment for law, but for activism.
