Hello everyone! My name is Ziyu Qi, and I am currently a senior at the School of International Studies in American University. I was born in Beijing, China, and have been studying in the U.S. for the past four years. Some of my interests are media, arts, and international relations. For these reasons, I have recently began my internship at Shanghai Media Group, which is China’s second largest media group, in DC, which produces and reports U.S. news in China. Through my internship, I was given the opportunity to cover prominent current events such as President Trump’s State of the Union Address 2018 and more recently Mark Zuckerberg’s court hearing.
