About the AU Research
Conference

In the spirit of the framework “R1 the AU Way” within the Curiosity pillar of AU’s recently announced Strategic Plan, we are pleased to announce the one-day AU-wide Research Conference, to be held on AU’s campus on Monday, May 11, 2026.

The conference is co-sponsored by the Center for Faculty Excellence, the Faculty Senate Committee on Scholarship, the Office of Research, and the University Library. 

You can expect opportunities to:

  • Network with colleagues across schools and departments
  • Gain insights into developing seed partnerships or joining existing cross-disciplinary research
  • Gain exposure and learn about translational research
  • Gain exposure and learn about community-based research
  • And professional development workshops including but not limited to: pivoting research funding and how to fund your research in a changing landscape; tips for grant writing; and integrating students into research endeavors.
