About Me

Allie Zuliani is a junior at American University studying political science in the School of Public Affairs (SPA) and advanced leadership studies as a member of the SPA Leadership Program.

Growing up in Sutton, Massachusetts Allie learned the value of activism, persistence, and a strong community. As she earns her undergraduate degree she aspires to a career that would allow her to implement progressive policies and work to improve the future of the United States.

Allie has experience as an intern on Capitol Hill where she learned to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment and to meet tight deadlines. Additionally, she has worked on a US Senate Campaign which provided her a deep understanding of the US electoral process and an in-depth look into the inner workings of a political campaign. Through this role, she learned skills like social media management, volunteer recruitment, and proficiency in NGP VAN. She helped to organize the southern central Massachusetts region running volunteer meetings and organizing standouts which resulted in a win of 16 out of the 17 towns.

As a current intern with the U.S. Department of State, Allie works in the Bureau of Legislative Affairs. Here she works on a number of projects that include daily summaries of upcoming briefings for H leadership, as well as writing summaries of briefings and biographies of Hill members that have the potential to been seen by the Secretary himself.

Allie is currently in search of a summer 2021 internship that will allow her to add to her experiences working in politics and government so far.
