Final project for a class entitled Learning Theories and Instructional Design.
The Project
This project asked me to create a short lesson plan or training material that expanded on the learning theories covered in this course, while also providing my own ideas and insights.
My Approach
My project, titled, “Virtual Cognitive Apprenticeships to Fill High School to College Knowledge Gap,” explored the idea of cognitive apprenticeships, part of the situated cognition learning theory, as a way to help incoming undergraduate students have more direction and clarity with respect to their studies, thereby allowing them to graduate on time and leave school without a burden of debt.
