The Lapidus Center for the Historical Analysis of Transatlantic Slavery is pleased to offer two six-month fellowships to assist scholars whose research on transatlantic slavery can benefit from extended access to the Schomburg Center’s resources. These fellowships will allow recipients to spend six months in residence with an office, a computer, and full access to physical and electronic resources at the Schomburg Center and other research units of The New York Public Library.

The center also offers short term three-month fellowships to assist researchers gain access to collection material at the Schomburg Center not readily available elsewhere. Fellowships are awarded for continuous periods of three months at the Center with a stipend of $2,000/month.
