Time management is ones ability to effectively utilize their time in a way that promotes productivity in a proactive manner. This can impact several aspects of ones life; academics, social, personal health, and finances, all of which influence well-being and success.

- Stress levels are increasing in younger college aged generations, time management and mindfulness have been clinically proven to decrease stress levels.
- Approximately 34% of adult college students report that their stress increased over the past year.
- Students today are significantly more likely to recognize the connection between stress and physical and mental health. Regarding stress management, 47 percent of adults engage in active methods, such as exercising or walking, meditation or yoga, and playing sports.
- Hispanics, Blacks, Asians and American Indian/Alaska Natives in the U.S. are most likely overall to report common sources of stress as significant (Financial concerns, employment stress, family responsibilities, personal concerns)
- Students who identify as LGBT report higher stress levels in comparison to non-LGBT students.
