Impact Objectives |
---|
1. Increase participant’s knowledge of the role nutrition plays in hormone health in the first 3 months of program implementation. 2. Encourage the group to engage in more physical activity. 3. Improve participants’ sense of social support and belonging with the “accountability sisterhood” thus leading to a better sense of community and belonging with the program. |
Impact
By offering resources, participants will organically learn more about feminine health as they participate, leading to lessened PMS symptoms. Encouraging participants to participate in regular exercise routines through local gyms will improve their physical health leading to long-term improvements in overall physical health. ‘Accountability sisterhood’ helps improve participants’ sense of social support and belonging within the program, leading to long-term commitment.

Process Objectives |

1. Develop and distribute educational materials, including cooking videos, infographics, recipes, and resources on hormone health and lifestyle changes to participants. 2. Organize weekly nutrition education sessions (whether online posts or in-person lessons) 3. Establish online support groups and peer mentoring programs for participants – this is “accountability sisterhood” as referred to in the program |
Impact
In engaging in the materials available, participants will learn more about menstrual health and increase their knowledge thus leading to an increased sense of control over their PMS symptoms. Moreover, the sense of sisterhood that is gained from the program will help participants feel a sense of belonging to the program and thus will stick with the program longer. Implementation of program suggestions will lead to lessened PMS symptoms.

Outcome Objectives |
---|
1. Reduction of the severity and frequency of hormonal symptoms among program participants. 2. Increase the adoption of healthy lifestyle habits including diet and nutrition, physical activity, stress management, and sleeping habits. 3. Create a sustainable network of sisterhood that supports and empowers each other |
Impact
‘Accountability Sisters’ spreads outside of online support and are encouraged to meal prep with each other as well as go to the gym with each other. In engaging with the program long-term, women who have been through the program can offer insight to newer participants as we learn from each other and grow. Leading to long-term improvements in overall health and well-being for women in the area.
