Mission, Goals, & Objectives

Mission:

Home Is Where the Food Is aims to empower families living in food deserts to make healthy, homemade meals by providing resources and education.

Goals:

  1. Increase awareness of stores in neighboring locations that sell fresh produce and other whole food options.
  2. Increase awareness of the negative health effects associated with a diet high in sugar, sodium, and fat.

Objectives:

During the next six months, 100 community residents will participate in at least one cooking class. Process
Improve the cardiovascular health of minority populations living in Chicago, Illinois. Outcome
