About: Slack is a collaborative communication tool used by millions of people and many well-known companies. It combines features of instant messaging with email, creating a searchable archive of communication across various channels and among collaborators.
For our class: We use Slack to simplify our class communications. You can use it to contact me as well as your classmates. Use the topic-specific channels to ask questions or share ideas. Slack works best when we take advantage of its collaborative affordances; I ask you to post your questions and ideas on the class-wide channels so others may benefit from and add to the discussion.
