Hello, my name is Jake Mulroy and I am a biology major at American University. I will be graduating in 2019 with a B.S. and hope to attend physician’s assistant school after. I have a passion for problem-solving and helping people. This past summer, I shadowed an emergency room doctor at Virtua Hospital in Mt. Holly, NJ. There, I received training in patient-to-patient contact as well as saw what the life of a doctor is like. In the past I have worked at Friendship Heights Hospital for Animals in Friendship Heights, Washington D.C. as an intern who helped veterinarian and veterinarian technicians with patients. I hope to continue working in the medical capacity as I train to become a physician’s assistant.
