Lauren Ferrier is currently a junior at American University’s School of International Service. She is concentrating in Environment, Sustainability, and Global Health, and minoring in Economics, and just got back from Madrid, Spain, where she studied European health care models. Lauren is interested in HIV and Global Health research, after studying under Dr. Nina Yamanis, a professor at AU’s School of International Service. Last year, Lauren focused her research interests on relative HIV risk in young women located in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
