About Me

As a sophomore at American University, I am pursuing a dual degree in Political Science and Journalism. I am also in the School of Public Affairs Leadership Program, where I am researching Immigrant Human Rights. As a first-generation Indian American, I am passionate about immigrant rights and providing immigrants resources to protect their human rights. I am specifically interested in helping South Asian immigrants, and being able to speak Hindi fluently gives me a unique advantage to communicate with them and understand why and how they have come to America. Using my leadership skills, I want to be able to advocate not only for immigrants, but for anyone else who the system has failed.
