About Me

Natalia Maikranz is a current senior at American University in the School of International Service. She has an academic focus in Environmental Sustainability and Global Health and a regional focus in South America. Her studies have helped her develop the skills she would need to pursue a career in overcoming the challenges of environmental degradation and health inequity around the world.

She spent Spring of 2017 in Santiago, Chile where she studied at Universidad Diego Portales. There she expanded her Spanish language skills in a program focused on the development, politics, and inequalities of South America. She also interned at the Ministry of Education at their English Open Doors program that helped grow the English speaking skills of students in public schools.

Currently, Natalia is an Outreach Fellow at Climate Institute where she works on their North American Super Grid Initiative. In the past she has also worked at the International Conservation Caucus Foundation and MedWish International as an operations and outreach intern.
