National Organization for Women:

Since January 2021, I have been a Digital Media Intern at the National Organization for Women. This internship combined my passions for graphic design and feminist education. As someone who primarily uses Photoshop to create graphics, this internship taught me about the usefulness of Canva. I created various graphics for both the Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter accounts, but I have linked some of my favorite projects down below.

Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Capstone

From October 2020 to March 2021, I worked on my Senior Capstone project for my Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies capstone. I got to research any WGSS related field, and I chose to look at how digital tools can be used to uplift the body images of Asian American women. I create almost 20 unique graphics and a 9-slide infographic for Instagram.

Gloria Miller for Westford School Committee:

At the beginning of 2017, I designed the main graphic for a School Committee candidate in my hometown of Westford, Massachusetts. These logos were used on the candidate’s campaign website and Facebook page and on lawn signs. In 2020, I was asked to design more graphics for her re-election campaign.

While working for Gloria Miller, I had my first experience creating campaign graphics independently. I learned to create cohesive graphics with color schemes in RGB and CYMK. Being able to construct a campaign’s branding on my own allowed me to

American University South Asian Student Association:

From October 2018 to October 2020, I serve as the Social Media/Design Chair for AU’s South Asian Student Association. This means that I managed the Facebook and Instagram accounts. Any post prior to this one was created by me! Additionally, I designed the organization’s previous logo. Click on either of the links above to check out my graphics.

American University Students to End Abortion Stigma:

Between October of 2018 and January of 2020, I served on the Communications team for AU’s Students to End Abortion Stigma club. In this role, I created event graphics and digitized merchandise designs that another team member designed. Please check out the Facebook account to view more.

School of Public Affairs Leadership Program:

Since August 2018, I have been a member of AU’s School of Public Affairs Leadership Program. As a member of my issue group Economic Inequality, I created graphics for two of the three fundraising events that we hosted. Using both Instagram and Facebook, we marketed the graphics to the AU Student Body.

In April of 2018, I designed the promotional material for the play “Bright Half Life” by Tanya Barfield produced at my high school. The flyer was used on the Facebook Event and well as on posters posted around the school.
